Virginia Gordon
Virginia Gordon is a public affairs and policy specialist, with significant expertise in broadcasting, copyright, the arts and the law. She has significant experience in strategic thought leadership and provides advice to senior management and boards. Virginia is seen as an industry leader, and known for strong interpersonal and networking skills.
Her work with a significant range of copyright, media and cultural organisations has also secured tens of millions of dollars for the cultural sector through securing major copyright schemes, positive legislative outcomes and funding increases.
Her pro-bono contribution includes being an Ambassador for the Little Blue Dinosaur Foundation; an advisor to the charity eChildhood; is on the National Council of the AYO and the Rose Scott Women Writers' Festival Committee. Formerly the Vice-President of The Women’s Club; a former Deputy President of the Arts Law Centre; former director of National Association for the Visual Arts, and Jessie Street National Women’s Library; a former President and an Honorary Life Member of the Sydney Film Festival; former member of the Friends of the Australian-Israel Cultural Exchange; former member of the Committee of Management of the Copyright Society of Australia.
