Our values

First Nations
We pay our respects to the traditional owners of the lands on which we work. We pay respect to all elders, past present and emerging. Consultation or work undertaken in Indigenous communities will always be undertaken with reference to and advice from local elders as appropriate.

Diverse Communities
We are committed to embedding principles of respect for diversity in all aspects our work. We recognise the importance of including diversity in representation. We equally recognise the importance of giving voice to diversity, by creating safe places for the expression of thoughts and opinion, respectful of the right of every person to be heard.

Marginalised Communities
Consultation with any marginalised communities will always be undertaken in collaboration and in partnership with leaders in those communities.

Volunteer-led
We believe that not-for-profit organisations benefit significantly from volunteer contributions. We ensure that volunteers are at the heart of not-for-profit governance arrangements and that volunteers are included in consultation processes.

Co-design
We are committed to benefits of co-design to establish ownership and passion for the arts and culture throughout the community.

In contributing to the development of the arts plan for South Australia, Tony was able to bring his broad sector knowledge and understanding – from a high-level, whole of sector perspective informed by his deep understanding of individual organisational structures and the challenges they face at an operational and artistic level.
